My stay at Shanghai Jinchen Hotel was a mixed bag. The initial experience in room 608 was disappointing due to dark carpets, a malfunctioning air conditioner, and a subpar bed. However, after switching to a deluxe room, it felt like an entirely different hotel—modern and clean! The location is fantastic, with plenty of local dining and shopping options nearby, making it a convenient base for exploring the French Concession.
